LIMEKILN Sussex | Private-Hire Luxury Wedding Venue in Sussex

LIMEKILN WEDDINGS AND EVENTS SPACE LAUNCHES

The courtyard at LIMEKILN

It was such a treat to visit brand new wedding venue LIMEKILN recently, thank you so much to the lovely Isla for giving me a private tour! No strangers to creating beautiful wedding venues, LIMEKILN comes from the owners of Kin House, with the same ethos of relaxed luxury shining through. If you are looking at booking LIMEKILN for your wedding, get the low-down from a photographer’s perspective here.

A blend of city chic and country comfort

LIMEKILN near Tunbridge Wells

LIMEKILN takes some of its inspiration from The Bloomsbury Group and nearby Charleston, and features some interior highlights you would perhaps expect to find in super chic hotel bars in London, think The Ned and The Nomad. Combine this with local designers and suppliers, it gives an elevated experience like no other. The venue really has a very considered approach to experience as well as style, the blueprint of the building blueprint itself flows beautifully for the flow of events on a wedding day.

The Apartment

You will find incredible attention to detail everywhere at LIMEKILN, but here are a couple of my favourites about The Apartment.
1 - The one-way window that overlooks the ceremony space. I can just imagine a bride or groom getting ready, looking through this window as their guests arrive, adding to those excited butterflies!

2 - The dedicated beauty salon with the most amazing bath, and hair-washing stations, an impeccable way of blending comfort and convenience.

The Alder Room

Immediately adjacent from The Apartment, is the ceremony space The Alder Room. With stunning floor to ceiling windows and a neutral colour scheme, The Alder Room is perfect for adding your own style. Imagine filling this room with florals and candles as you walk down the aisle. The building is south facing, so the light that streams in as you look out to the backdrop of the countryside, is simply stunning.

The Kiln Bar

Comprising two spaces in one, a jewel in LIMEKILN’S crown is the Kiln Bar. A deep jewel toned 360 degree bar. The room is vignetted with cosy seating spaces, a fireplace, and the most incredible chandeliers, looking out on the Courtyard, and the garden. Just when you think LIMEKILN can’t raise the bar further, it does. Through the barn doors of The Alder Room, you are then spoiled with another feast for the eyes, this time with a tipple in hand.

The Courtyard

The blend of inspirations at LIMEKILN extends to the courtyard, an elegant mix of Californian country meets Mediterranean chic. I can just see wedding guests reclining and sipping cocktails in the sun here.

Poplar Hall

Nestled on the far side of The Kiln Bar, just off the destination vibes of the Courtyard is the Poplar Room. Don’t be fooled by the intimate atmosphere of the alcoves and elegant chandeliers, the Poplar Room can accomodate 195 guests for a wedding breakfast. The delicate frieze is a bespoke design from local Sussex based-artist Tess Newall.

The Green Club

An intimate low-ceiling speakeasy, combining opulent chandeliers and antique mirrored walls. This space is perfect for dancing until the early hours!

“Surrounded by 60 acres of Sussex countryside and ancient woodland, our whitewashed timber lodge pays homage to traditional local architecture.” - LIMEKILN

I was truly blown away by LIMEKILN, the attention to detail, the atmosphere, the vibe! A truly considered and elevated approach to a wedding venue, Sussex and the surrounding areas have been crying out for this for some time. I can not wait to be back.
