Top tips for your wedding photography at Kew Gardens
1 - Bring an electric hand-held fan.
It can feel very humid very quickly due to the tropical nature of the plants, have some cold bottled water with you too.
2 - Take it slow on the staircase and walkways.
In fact, if you have heels, I would suggest switching to flat shoes as the stairs and path can feel a tad slippery and tight for space to walk on.
3 - Don’t worry about onlookers.
Unless you are lucky to get totally exclusive access, the public will be milling about. But don’t worry, they are incredibly kind and gracious, don’t stare and will get out the way. It’s also my job to politely move them along, I am your personal wedding bouncer.
4 - Don’t neglect the outside of the palm house
Yes, the view points you can get in the Palm House itself (especially up top on the walkway!) are incredible. Make sure you get some photos featuring the stunning architecture of the building from the outside too.
5 - Golf buggy your way to and from the palm house
Your wedding at Kew Gardens should include a helpful member of staff and golf buggy to ferry you to and from the palm houses, but always ask politely if these photos are super important to you. Kew Gardens is absolutely huge, and it really is worth it to make sure you can maximise your time for wedding photos.
