Elegant London Wedding at The Ned | Francesca and Joel

MINIMALIST WHITE FLORAL INSPIRED WEDDING AT THE NED, LONDON

I love London weddings! Nestled within Bank, is London wedding venue The Ned, perfect for a relaxed and super chic celebration. With an entire floor dedicated to weddings, The Ned features a stunning ceremony room, the panelled Tapestry Room with stunning chandeliers for a wedding breakfast. St Paul’s Cathedral rests in the background of the terrace for portraits and drinks, a completely iconic view in the heart of the city.

DELICATE DETAILS FROM BRIDAL PREP

Francesca got ready with her best friends and flower girls, a relaxed but thoroughly excited morning. For her bridal fashion, she chose a delicate Jessica Bennett dress, with a halter neckline and incredibly chic feather draped back. Her Aquazurra ‘Tequila’ heels, and pearl drop ear-rings with an elegant long veil complimented her look.

SAYING ‘I DO’

Fran and Joel hosted their ceremony in The Saloon, featuring an 18th century chandelier cascading soft light across the room. A stunning rose and gypsophila centre-piece above the fireplace mirrored Fran’s bouquet perfectly, neutral and romantic in style. I loved being able to capture Joel’s face as Fran walked down the aisle with her father, such a priceless moment.

RELAXED AND ROMANTIC PORTRAITS

Most of us don’t feel at home having our photo taken, unless maybe it’s a selfie when we feel particularly fabulous! You want to feel like your best selves, to look like your best selves, so for your wedding portraits I like to keep things super relaxed. A little walk, a little excited chatter with a glass in hand is all you need for relaxed and romantic wedding photos.

I usually choose to take you two away from the well-meaning but prying eyes of your guests for your photos. A great time to do this will often be when your guests go to be seated for dinner, with a 10-15 minute window for you to just have a breather and take it all in together.

The terrace the The Ned gave Francesca and Joel a true city chic look, especially with St Paul’s Cathedral peeking through the horizon.

ELEGANT DINING STYLE

If you’re looking for an elegant style for dining, I always recommend putting your budget into florals, and glassware (if working with a stylist). You don’t have to choose epic centre-pieces to make an impact here, Francesca and Joel chose the minimalist and chic simplicity of long tapered white candles, open white roses, and crystal glassware to reflect that soft candlelight.

Long tables allowed the space to flow, the excitement and atmosphere of the room to be shared. The dramatic chandeliers and panneling of the tapestry room gave the reception a grand yet warm vibe.

A TOAST TO THE GOOD LIFE

To get the party started, Francesca and Joel chose to celebrate a champagne tower! They shared a kiss and a champagne toast before cutting their cake, and dancing the night away with an Ibiza inspired playlist with their guests.

Photographed second shooting for Emmy Shoots, thank you so much Emmy.
