Asar London at London Fashion Week
Runway show PHOTOGRAPHY for Asar London at London Fashion Week.
Since my college days, fashion photography has been one of my key interests, and seeing how fashion has influenced wedding photography is endlessly fascinating. My two worlds collided when I photographed the Nikeen Asar Collection VII Runway show for London Fashion Week.
One of the things I love about photography, is the smoke and mirrors, the behind the curtain of a scene. Wether it’s weddings or editorial, or a runway show, there is always an element of the unseen that goes into creating a moment on camera.
From the chaos and candid nature of backstage, to the frenetic dress rehearsal ironing out the last minute kinks, to the fast-paced glam of the runway.
Nikeen is one of my favourite luxury bridal designers. He is inspired by the women in his life, celebrating their strength and femininity. This collection draws influences of Hollywood’s golden age, the unapologetically sensuous icons, who exuded power and elegance. The colour palette draws from the rich hues of traditional Indian sarees, celebrating their vibrancy and luxury. A delicious mix of hot pink, lipstick red, metallic gold, and flowing silks.
Nikeen’s attention to detail, elegant fabrics and texture, pops of colour and shimmering hues ensure thoroughly modern and elevated bridal looks.
PS: Shout out to my girl Tiel at Big Hair Energy for being an essential part of the hair team!
PPS: Please be advised this blog features images of partially naked, professional models in sheer lace dresses
& they absolutely rock it!
